Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist

Job Purpose:
The Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist is one of the front-line positions of our success! This position is responsible for ensuring that the products we sell on several online marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Wish, jet.com, etc.) and our own website are displayed properly and meeting expected sales goals. Great candidates will love to learn and apply what’s been learned. You’re also a critical thinker—not afraid to find problems, investigate the root cause, then develop and implement the right solutions.

You’ll work closely with a diverse and talented team in a fun-loving environment where everyone is invested in each other’s success.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Monitor and manage online sales
  • Assist supervisor by compiling marketplace data to develop strategies across the various marketplaces
  • Determine best packaging and shipping for products sold by us through Amazon FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) and communicate this to Deal Genius’ shipping department
  • Note product discrepancies and report to the appropriate departments to manage
  • Create SKU-level reports for replenishing FBA supply
  • Optimize product listings on marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc.)
  • Research activity, associations, trends, keywords, competition, and features of items within marketplaces to enhance product performance and increase SEO
  • Proactively look for ways to improve processes, product sales, and reporting

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as project and time management,
  • Works well independently and collaboratively with all levels of the organization,
  • Must be organized, pay strict attention to detail and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast paced environment,
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills,
  • A desire to super-serve your clients by going above and beyond expectations,
  • Strong attention to detail and following through, especially with small but significant variances,
  • Ability to take on a task and drive it to completion,
  • Understanding of and familiarity with ecommerce sites (Amazon, Walmart.com, eBay, etc.),
  • Strong computer and typing skills, high comfort level with MS Office, especially Excel,
  • Comfortable learning and using various industry specific software,
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Education/Training:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelors, Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred but not necessary
  • 2-4 years relevant work experience (e-commerce, data analysis, online sales)

Reporting Relationship:
This position will report to the Director of Operations.

Work Hours and Conditions:
A minimum of 40 hours per week.

Listing Specialist

Job Purpose:
The Listing Specialist is one of the front-line positions of our success! This position is responsible for ensuring that the products we sell on several online marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Wish, jet.com, etc.) and our own website are displayed properly, and are positioned to get the best results. Great candidates will love to learn and apply what’s been learned. You’re also a critical thinker—not afraid to find problems, investigate the root cause, then develop and implement the right solutions. 

Responsiblities/Duties:

  • Bring together all the work from a team of writers, editors, and photographers into one product listing
  • Upload daily deal and marketplace product skus on schedule, with minimal errors
  • Work across team lines (with buyers, writers, warehouse staff, etc.) to optimize product performance
  • Ensure that product listings on our site are accurate, formatted correctly, and are attractive to customers
  • Manage pricing and scheduling for daily deals on our web and mobile sites
  • Create and schedule daily emails to send out to an ever-growing customer base
  • Research and implement commonly searched for keywords and phrases to bolster the performance of our listings on the marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Wish, jet.com, etc.)
  • Proactively look for ways to improve processes, product sales, reporting, and archiving

Business Data Analyst

Job Purpose: 
The Business Data Analyst is responsible for compiling, validating, summarizing and reporting company data to help solve challenging business problems.  The individual is charged with building out dashboards, reports, data modeling, data warehouses and data Integration. The successful candidate will research best practices and supports developing the solutions and recommendations to drive decisions which will most effectively achieve business goals and objectives.

Responsiblities/Duties:

  • Gather and interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques
  • Researches best practices and synthesizes current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action
  • Manage timely flow of business data analysis information to users. Prepare reports, charts and dashboards detailing the results deduced from data analysis. Produce ad hoc reports as needed. Train end users on new reports and dashboards
  • Maintain internal data repositories making sure the databases can produce consistent, reusable data.
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization
  • Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Work with management on new process improvement opportunities

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred
  • Prefer 2+ years work experience as a data analyst or in related field
  • Strong analytical background
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, advanced understanding in Excel, Access, and Visual Basic
  • Ability to understand the relationship between data and business needs
  • Experience with financial and or data applications
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
