Senior Manager of Ecommerce Marketplaces

Job Purpose:
The Senior Manager of Ecommerce Marketplaces is responsible for maximizing the rate of sales and profit margin of Deal Genius products being sold in various marketplaces. Creates and maintains the proper analytics to monitor sales performance of all SKUs. Optimizes components of listings and performance of those components, including: images, videos (where applicable), keywords, ads, product detail information, competitive landscape, rank, analysis for each products, etc.

They should have a proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving business improvements. This individual introduces metrics designed to track the effects of action plans and determine whether the actions are effective at meeting targets.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Leads the efforts of structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives to maximize margins and inventory turn by sales channel
  • Leads pricing and revenue optimization efforts across existing and new markets
  • Monitors and promotes new product listings to minimize time needed to achieve top search result ranking
  • Ensures action and resource requirements are properly aligned to allow for those goals to be met
  • Continuously monitors company and marketplace performance to determine if strategies need to be adjusted or new strategies should be introduced
  • Gathers and synthesizes relevant data, leading analyses, and develops final recommendations
  • Manages a team to run reports, analyzes data, and makes ongoing adjustments to inventory pricing as well as inventory strategy
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to successfully accomplish goals
  • Communicates findings to senior management & drives recommendations through to implementation and results
  • Continual testing of new strategies to maximize visibility of inventory online
  • Discover, evaluate, and launch new partner programs/opportunities to achieve sales and margin goals
  • Monitors and directs returns and other data to proper stakeholders to ensure accurate reconciliation
  • Identifies trends and leading indicators in data and takes proper action
  • Identifies gaps in data and properly manages those gaps and/or finds how those gaps can be eliminated

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to conceive and execute quantitative analysis and deliver data-driven insights
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Collaborative problem solving and working style to drive change through influence
  • Able to self-manage progress against milestones and deliverables with a high degree of accountability and personal urgency
  • Strong problem solving-skills - ability to break a problem into components and understand how to test each component.
  • Project management skills with the ability to take concepts from the idea stage and make them actionable
  • Data-first philosophy but can also make decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create meaningful presentation that tells a story, as well as collaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or closely related preferred
  • Seven years or more of relevant experience, ideally in in ecommerce of consumer goods with focus on marketplaces and brand stores

 Work Hours and Conditions: A minimum of 40 hours per week.


Finance Manager

Job Purpose:
The Finance Manager is responsible for all areas relating to accounting and finance functions, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, working capital management, and maintaining a strong internal control structure - robust accounting background strongly preferred.  This individual will analyze financial activities and provide analytical input and recommend process improvements to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives. These are not the only requirements and functions of the position but aim to provide and idea of the breadth and scope of the position.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing process, reporting and analysis tasks to ensure results are properly reported and controls are maintained
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and financial internal controls
  • Manage the monthly forecasting cycles and annual planning, including operating plan preparation, modeling, variance analysis, review and presentation
  • Perform decision-supporting analysis of company initiatives, such as new business lines, pricing strategies and directional project spend
  • Partner with operational teams to problem solve operational/financial challenges, prepare business case modeling, and create value added analysis
  • Influence operating decisions through insightful interpretation and analysis of strategic business decisions
  • Perform statistical research and analysis for benchmarking, analysis, and planning purposes
  • Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Manage company-wide payroll procedures and administration.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Seasoned business/strategy perspective and professional maturity
  • Solid quantitative, written and presentation skills
  • Results-driven personality eager to partner with management to organize, plan and achieve company goals.
  • Comfortable with thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo to deliver results
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills is required
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline, CPA/CFA or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting
